Fire Safety Engineer

Job Description

As a Fire Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all fire safety protocols, systems, and procedures are implemented and maintained in accordance with local regulations and international best practices. You will play a key role in designing fire prevention systems, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance across all facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain fire detection and suppression systems.
• Conduct regular fire risk assessments and hazard evaluations.
• Ensure compliance with UAE Civil Defense and international fire safety standards.
• Develop and review fire safety plans and evacuation procedures.
• Coordinate fire drills, safety training, and emergency response exercises.
• Inspect buildings/ Properties and systems to identify potential fire hazards.
• Liaise with local authorities and regulatory agencies for inspections and approvals.
• Respond / Maintain records and documentation related to fire safety systems and incidents.
• Organize and conduct training exercises and drills to maintain team preparedness.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/ Electronic or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in fire safety engineering or HSE-related roles.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, UAE Fire & Life Safety Code, and other relevant standards.
• Certification in fire safety (e.g., CFPS, NEBOSH Fire Safety) is required.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
